I WAS ON TV!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Money Earned Today: 0 Money Earned Total: 120
Today I was on TV. It was KOIN 6 Keep It Local. It was awesome. The people there were very nice and helpful. I was really nervous. We got there, and there were some little kids there doing a fashion show of a local companies clothing. Apparently, there was some issues with that, because they were supposed to be first, but they didn't get to go on until about halfway through the show. I know the station was having some issues with some new equipment, and so they had to film that part twice. They brought me in really quickly, and I'm very happy that they got me in, because it was obvious that because of the technical difficulties they didn't really have that much time for me. So thank you KOIN 6 for getting me on, and thank you for inviting me on your show. It's already paid of, because I have already gotten some emails from people who want to help me. Thank you so much.

Ridgefield Debate

MLoney Earned Today: 0 Money Earned Total: 120
Yesterday I had a debate meet at ridgefield. As far I could tell, there was no crooked judges this time, but I won't know for sure until Thursday. The debate topic now is economic sanctions ought not be used to achieve foreign policy objectives. I debated my affirmative case (economic sanctions are bad) once, and my negative (economic sanctions are good) case three times. I'm glad, because I really like my affirmative case more than my negation case. I've also got a few new ideas for my neg. A lot of people have a definiton of Economic Sanctions that says it is the act of threat of stopping trade with a country. Also, a lot of the affirmative are saying how economic sanctions will hurt and destroy peoples lifes, and that they only work anywhere from 2 to 19% of the time. Now, with the definition they are providing where economic sanctions include the threat, then not only does it not harm people at all, but the amount of times it has worked would greatly increase because the times a country has threatened to use economic sanctions wouldn't have been counted.
I have also sold 5 of my cookbooks, and am hoping to sell a whole lot more. It only took one day, and now we are going to have to make more. This is a very good sign.
One more big thing. I'm going to be on one of the local news stations on monday. It is KOIN 6 and I will be on their program at about 4. I am very excited about this. Not only will it help me to get some sponsors, but, because it is broadcast all over Washington and Oregon, I will get alot more people to buy my cookbook then I would have originally.

MY FIRST ONE HUNDRED!!!!!

Money Earned Today: 100 Money Earned Total: 100
I got my first one hundred dollars yesterday! I had sent a letter to my church, hoping that they would let me do some fundraising. They didn't, but they said that they might give me some money, and to send in a letter. Sooooo . . I did, and they called me yesterday, asking for the address of people to people, so that they could send it to them. So now I have $100 to my account that wasn't my mom paying(I'm sure she's very happy about that).
More news! Literally. I sent a few news flashes out to different companies, and one wants me to go on their show on Monday. Hopefully, being on news programs will allow me to get some more sponsors and help to sell the cookbooks. YAY FOR PROGRESS!!!

News Flash!

Money Earned Today: 0 Money Earned Total: 0
Today, I was talking to my dad about setting up appointments with companies, when he decided I should do a press release first. How brilliant! The PTP website already has a press release kit, so I filled our a couple of the forms, and I'm going to start sending them off tomorrow, once I figure out which news agencies to send them to. It talks about my acceptance as a student ambassador, what I'm going to do, how I'm looking for corporate sponsorship, and how I'm selling cookbooks. This should start bringing in the money. Of course, I'm still going to call people to ask for corporate sponsors, but this should make them more likely to help. Also, I did the math today, and in order to make as much money as i want to, I have to raise about 300 dollars a week. That's hope I make that goal.

My Cookbook is DONE!

Money Earned Today: 0 Money Earned Total: 0
Or at least recipes are. I'm finally done transferring all the recipes to the format we are going to use. Now all I have to do is print them out, bind them, and start selling. Hopefully I run out very soon.
I also got a response from Safeway. They decided not to give me money. Oh well. That's okay. Thanks anyway for considering me. I think they actually though I was just a scam, because in the response letter they sent me the words "non-profit" were underlined and italicized. That's okay though. Saturday I'm going to start making appointments to see other companies. Hopefully I'll be seeing companies pretty regularly. Hopefully they'll actually start giving me money too.

My Bad . .

Money Earned Today: 0 Money Earned Total: 0
Sorry it's been so long since I last blogged. I guess having the ads thing say I can't use it anymore kind of made me depressed. I promise I'll try to keep up on it more from now on.
Let's see . . . I've been super busy lately. School's been giving me a lot of homework, and it makes it hard for me to get on here every day. I have to sleep at some point during the day. I've also been working really hard on my cookbook. I have a couple people that are willing to buy, and a couple places that are willing to advertise for me. Of course, I have to finish it first, and that's been proving kind of hard. I have all of my recipes, but I have to transfer them to another format before I can print them all out, so I have to type all of these into that format, which is taking time. I'm about halfway through now.
Mom has also decided that this week is the time to clean, so all the time that I could have spent on the computer typing my cookbook, I've had to spend cleaning. Now, for most people, it would be a job that takes a couple of hours, at most. No, not for me. I'm just a little OCD, so stuff like vacuuming the couch, cleaning off the cabinets, cleaning my room, can each take hours to do. It's a very good way to keep me occupied.
I went to a Naturpath Monday, because my back's been hurting a lot lately. She told me it's likely because I'm stressed, so she gave me a couple of exercises to do and told me to eat better and drink more water. Hopefully it works.
So yeah, that's what my life's been like the past week or so.

K103

Money Earned Today: 0 Money Earned Total: 0
Today K103, a radio station here, came and recorded the Advanced Womens Ensemble and the Concert Choir. We sang It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year for Womens and Do You Hear What I Hear for Concert. They sounded REALLY good. I'm kind of starting to feel bad for my third period teacher though, because this is the 3 time in the last 2 weeks that Mr. Karn has pulled me out of class for something. Twice for the HARTS Assembly and now this. So I feel like my third period class is being kind of neglected.
